Brian Breitenberg It quickly sends hot air through the arms going up into the shoes. Although it doesn’t say anywhere in the ad that it has uv light, there is a blue light inside the arms visible when it’s on, but it’s not uv light. I measured it and it’s only a blue led, so it doesn’t kill bacteria with the light. Only with the heat. Still works very well to dry shoes from the inside!
